I was recently nominated for Blogger Recognition Award, by Michelle. It means a lot to me. Especially, because I’m in my dark place of mind for quite a while now and this really cheered me up. Sort of confirmation that I’m doing at least something right.
I didn’t have the motivation for writing, reading or pretty much anything these days, but this lifted me up to write at least this post. For a moment, I felt like the girl in the picture above. So, dear Michelle, thanks again.
And thank you dear readers for stopping by. I appreciate every single one of you. You, who, only take a quick look through the content, you, who read my thoughts, you, who understand them and you who take a moment to share your own thoughts as well.
1. Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
2. Write a post to show your award.
3. Give a brief story of how your blog started.
4. Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
5. Select up to fifteen bloggers you want to give this award to.
6. Comment (or pingback) on each blog to let them know that you’ve nominated them, and provide a link to the post you’ve created.
How I started my blog
My blogging story goes back in the year 2006. I started writing under my domain, lampelina.net, but many things went wrong (I couldn’t pay for domain and hosting because I failed at basic organizational skills), so I ended up here. I had severe insomnia, which gave me plenty of time to do something. Writing was perfect, because of the silence that night brings with it. Later I switched writing to photography.
Before you start blogging, I think it’s good to think about what message do you want to put through your blog and what can you get from this as well. On the other hand, I would suggest that you don’t think too much about what others might think. Dare to write, explore different topics, follow your instinct, but listen to your head as well.
